Return Policy

We hope you love your unique, fairly traded items! However, if you change your mind or are not entirely satisfied with your purchase, we are here to help. As a small family business, we aim to make the returns process as straightforward as possible.

1. Your 14-Day Right to Cancel (Change of Mind)

Under the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations, you have a statutory right to change your mind and cancel your order within 14 days of receiving your items, without giving any reason.

How to Notify Us: You must inform us of your decision to cancel by emailing thebethlehemshop@gmail.com within the 14-day window. Please include your order number and the names of the items you wish to return.
Timeframe for Returning Goods: Once you have notified us, you must mail the items back to us within 14 days.

2. Return Conditions & Packaging

To be eligible for a full refund, items must be returned unused, in the same condition that you received them, and in their original packaging.
Because many of our products are handmade or unique, please handle them with care while they are in your possession. We reserve the right to reduce your refund amount if the items arrive back damaged due to inadequate packaging or unnecessary handling.

3. Return Shipping Costs

You (the customer) are responsible for paying the shipping costs for returning your items.
Shipping costs are non-refundable.
We strongly recommend using a tracked shipping service (such as Royal Mail Tracked) or purchasing shipping insurance. We cannot guarantee that we will receive your returned item, and we cannot issue a refund for items lost in transit on their way back to us.

4. Refunds Process

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your item.

If approved, your refund will be processed automatically back to your original method of payment (Lightspeed Payments or PayPal).
We will refund the full price of the item plus our standard delivery charge. If you chose an express shipping method (like Royal Mail Tracked 24), we are only legally required to refund the cost of our standard shipping option.
Refunds typically appear in your account within 14 days of us receiving the goods back.

5. Faulty, Damaged, or Incorrect Items

Under the UK Consumer Rights Act, if an item arrives faulty, damaged, or does not match the description on our website, you are entitled to a full refund, repair, or replacement.

Please inspect your order upon receipt and contact us immediately at thebethlehemshop@gmail.com with your order number and photographic evidence of the issue.
If an item is faulty, we will cover the cost of the return postage or provide a pre-paid shipping label.
